1,000 Books Before Kindergarten is a library program that encourages all families and caregivers to read at least 1,000 books to their infant, toddler and/or preschooler before entering kindergarten.

New books, the same books or storytime books...all books count!  Does it sound hard?  Not really if you think about it. If you read just one book a night, you will have read about 365 books in a year.

Any child, ages 0-5 can participate. Just stop in and pick up a reading log to get started!  Each time you and your child reach a milestone, bring in your reading log and collect prizes. Read 1,000 books and your child will receive a 1000 books before Kindergarten t-shirt!
